    Default Facebook?

Does anybody marketing their Real Estate properties via Facebook? What is the success rate like?

Do users interact or is it a waste of time? Social Media is a powerful medium and we are wondering if that can be converted into Real Estate

Looking for Newcastle house and land packages, we have them here at Cameron Grove or at Calypso Bay. Stop buy and see if we have what you want.

I've done a bit of Facebook marketing before. The conversion rate is really very low, especially in Real Estate. However, it's a great way to build your "brand" and get a lot of exposure. I believe if you refer your leads to your Facebook account and sees a big number of friends and interesting content, you would be able to close the sale with them easier. I guess they equate "social power" with trustworthiness.

Thanks for the tip. I'll give it a go, and see if it is worth while!

I have seen some ads, but I don't know how effective they are. I think they work as otherwise people woudln't put them on Facebook

I tried a campaign with them; not good conversion at all.
I would rather suggest trying Twitter.

    Default Facebook marketing

Depends on where you live & what kind of personality type you have.

If you can get people to react to your status updates-wall posts, then you're going to get a lot of visibility from Facebook. Most agents around here don't realize the potential of fan pages or only put for half the effort.

Basically, more people in your city use Facebook than they do Google. Not only that, you can crawl through the FB directory to see regional people and what kind of things they are fans of.

Facebook advertising should be done with real estate as "likes" to the fan page and not traffic to the web site. This way, once they are a fan of your fan page, they can see every update in the future. It's important no to be too aggressive & to keep regional info, hot topics, and news updates as well.

This is a great place to build authority & get your name "out there"

The fan page should have a custom tab with some kind of call to action or giveaway as well. It can be extremely effective way to capture leads.

Great - thank you all for the tips. We are going to give Twitter a go, and use a small budget for a facebook ad with our Like page.

We hit like on a few Real estates ourselves to see how they were doing.

Definitely a few ideas floating around!

I'd look at it as another tool to use in your online marketing efforts. SEO should be an essential element of your website's success simply because more and more people are looking to the web to find and search for a new home.

I've posted listings on Facebook and never saw much interest. I think you have to give people something of more value that pertains to real estate to generate any real interest.
