    Default Real Estate Ideas

    Hi everyone,

    My name is Rj and joined to forum recently. I want to learn more about real estate in United States because I've recently been working on a project that requires knowledge of this market. I've been learning a lot about sales, financing and general geo targeted markets in the area since I'm working on some outsourced processes for a local client with SEO, design and copywriting. We've notice a nice increase in their lead generation and their online presence with our help. I wanted to find out if this market could benefit from our services in other related geo located areas.

    Thank you for welcoming me to this forum and I look forward to participating in the conversation with all of you.

    Nice to meet everyone!

    Default Ways to Market Your Real Estate Listings to Other Agents

    Hi I'm a "Business Builder" I just want to share this tips about Marketing your listings to other agent.

    1. Talk about your listings.
    At that next Board luncheon, you're talking to your peers about your day, your latest client horror story, etc. Ask about the buyers they're working with. If one of their buyers sounds like a fit for one of your listings, tell them about it. Don't be shy, as they may have been busy and missed it.

    2. Special Agent-Oriented Flyers
    That beautiful brochure you produce on each listing for the public will work for this, but consider a slightly different approach for agents. Modify that consumer brochure a bit to include information that will help other agents to show your listing. This might include information that would help the broker to prepare their clients for things like a cluttered tenant living space. There are a number of things you might tell another agent that can help them that you wouldn't put in a marketing brochure.

    Get this brochure out to all the agents that are effective buyer representatives in your MLS.
    3. Email - But Only with Courtesy
    You'll get vehement arguments from agents about whether they want to receive those highly graphic new listing emails. They can be effective, but the best practice would be to send a regular email to your list and ask them first. No response or a negative response should be your clue to remove them from the list.
    4. Tours and Open Houses for Agents
    Always place your listings on the agent tours. You might want to do a special open house for agents, perhaps with refreshments. Almost every experienced agent or broker will tell you that they have had listings sell faster because an agent fell in love with the property and showed it extensively.

    For new and innovative ideas just keep exploring new things and keep trying this and that. You never know which one will click.

    Also, offer something really unique and valuable to your target audience. If possible offer something for free. People, after doing business with you, would remember you!

    I agree to you to some extend. From what I have learned, people do not value stuff that they get for free. I believe in being helpful though. Don't hesitate to help people for free, when they satisfy these two conditions:
    • If they need it desperately
    • If its possible for you without making huge amount of effort

    100% true. Cannot tell you how many times this has been the case in the higher tier properties. Agents become passionate about the house and they make the buyer's buy into that passion. Bam! Sold.

    I just said a very successful real estate agent yesterday and asked about sales. She said one of the things she is to give customers an album, they bought her. The picture shows a customer name in front of the book, with the picutre of the house. Back with more pictures and information on all real estate agents, including pictures, phone, e-mail, web site. Which contains a few pages they bought the house (a list of pages, pictures, etc.), local information, and the Third Ring binder includes all the mortgage process.

    To be able to be successful in this new age of real estate, you have to be a jack of all trades.

    You need to understand

    * sales
    * general marketing, general advertising
    * internet marketing
    * affiliate marketing
    * article marketing
    * SEO (Search Engine Optimization)
    * PPC (Pay Per Click)
    * You need to know how to use social networks to your advantage and generate more leads
    * You need to know how to be able to get what you want from your visitors (emails, phone number, ect)

    I'm going to go ahead and publish this list for now.. maybe you guys would like to add to this.
