    Default Facebook Ads

Has anyone tried to use facebook ads? Do you find it helpful as your way of promoting your website? How much does it cost you for this promotion?

Nope, i haven't tried it, I usually market my business manually, or even grow my accounts manually too. Just have to add more efforts than doing the ads. You can research on google for further info with your concerns.

Yes, I have treid some ads. I can't say that they have brought a lot of profit to the site, but there was a slight increase in traffic.

Facebook ads follow a price scheme that is pretty consistent with similar online advertising programs.

You add funds to your account--however much you want, so you can start with $10 or $100. Then you pick whether you want to pay per click or per impression. Like with Google AdWords, you are asked to set a bid price on how much you will pay for each click or impression.

So how much it costs is up to you, really.

I've tried it before. I got plenty of clicks, but I got very few conversions from it. Interesting that marykaichini seems to have had the same issue above. (The text in my ad wasn't very different from a Google AdWords campaign I was running at a similar time with much better conversions.)

I have a theory that people on Facebook are in a mindset where they want everything to be free and only a single click away. Judging by the bounce rate when I tried it, I would say the attention span is drastically reduced as well. But I didn't really look into it that much, so this is just speculation.

    Default not too sure

I am not too sure about FB ads yet. I have used it and haven't really seen any noticeable difference as of yet. Anyone else had success from it?

Facebook Fan pages are terrific - and after the cost of initial development, they're free. The agent I work with has a Fan page that automatically pulls in her blog posts - including the ones of her latest listings. I think it auto-tweets, too.

If you're interested, PM me and I can tell you who we used for development. She's very reasonable; I was quite surprised.

The same question was posted at Facebook. Some real estate people said that they find it irritating and that they hardly click on them. Getting a slight increase in traffic is not worth it especially if you have to pay for it when you can get so much through other methods.

Yes, I have had fine advertising success with Facebook, as I have already stated. If your max CPC is $0.10 because you are an affiliate market (i.e. web spammer), you will not generate any impressions (or clicks) because your bid is ridiculously low. It’s not rocket science people: set a realistic bid and you will get your clicks.
