Thread: Something that really works

Hello forum. About three years ago I started working on how to get to the top of the SE's for various keywords etc, today I have over 500 top 2 pages results on dozens of keywords. I post in about 12 forums so I read I learn, I help out. The following tip has helped dozens if not hundreds of people see their sites go up in the rankings.
Get a Google Toolbar on your browser, go to Google Alert and submit your keywords - everyday Google will send you an alert on your subject matter. Contact the writer (these are news articles from the nationals) or the author and make a contribution to the article. We have done this loads of times, we even managed to get a TV crew into our offices and we went out on National TV. If you ask the author to place your URL in a feature it is free advertising.

Now here is the real biggy Company Initials - firstly I sell Mortgages in the UK I do not trade anywhere outside of the uk so this is not SPAM this is simply something that really works. Three years ago if you searched my initials (which I am not going to post - just to prove my point) I was nowhere to be found. So I put **** into all my submissions to Directories, slowly but surely **** reached number 1 0r 2 on every SE on the planet. I then ran a simple add in the uk, 'If you are looking for information on ********* search **** on any Search Engine. It worked. Remember - obscure search titles are easier to get on the top than any other system, once you are there, it is up to you how you use it.

Great post Dave, this is what this forum is all about the sharing of information. I like that idea and feel embassed I didnt think of it..lol. There are a lot of new and exciting things we are going to be passing information on here very soon, I hope we all will benefit from eachother on this forum.

Yes sharing information is what forums are or should be all about. For example here is a free tool for checking your backlinks, I've had it for a year now and it is an incredible bit of kit. Thanks for the compliments. I feel quite sorry for New Posters as there is so much spamming going on, it's difficult to make a first post without someone saying -Ah look at this.
