Realtor takes chance and gets big results!
I just heard back from a realtor I'm working with and she's so excited.
She wanted to place an ad in Harmon Homes but wanted something "different." Now this is music to my ears because realtors tend to only go with what they see others doing and that's the quickest way to reduce your results.
So I wrote an ad and she created a free report to go along with it.
She's gotten tons of hits on her website and the leads are coming in like crazy. She wants another ad immediately to test against the original.
Now...why did this ad work?
Because not only is it different but it catches the reader off guard, piques their curiosity, and compels them to visit the website. All of this is direct response marketing 101.

It doesn't sound like she took much of a chance. As you pointed out this was just direct response marketing 101. Most of them know about it they are just too lazy to do anything about it.
Congrats to both of you for doing something different instead of following the crowd.

But she did take a chance.
In my experience, most realtors I talk to are scared of spending the money on an ad that they don't see anyone else doing. They think if no one else is doing it, it must not work.
As for me, I knew it would work. I'm a copywriter who specializes in direct response marketing.
I don't think realtors are lazy, it's one of the hardest jobs out there. But I do think it's a case of groupthink. No one wants to go out on a limb if everything seems to be working fine.
What most agents don't get is how much better they could be doing by using proven techniques to increase conversion rates for ads and websites.Don't let the economy take charge of your career...fight back and click the link below:

Way to go! It's always nice to get results for people who may be skeptical at first.
I am currently reading a book called Hypnotic Copywriting by Joe Vitale. I like what I have seen so far.
Where did you learn about copywriting?Using other people's time and other people's money is the key to unlocking an entrepreneur's dreams.

Since I'm a copywriter, I've been studying copywriting for many years. And I've been seeing the results of wht I write through A/B testing. Copywriting is both an art and a science and it takes a while to get to the point where you know that conversion rates will be good.
See, I knew that ad would convert. There are several elements in it designed to grab the attention of the reader and put them at ease so they aren't afraid of making going to the website.
Vitale's book is a good one. I hope you don't stop there.Don't let the economy take charge of your career...fight back and click the link below:

Oh of course not. I'm planning a trip to the library soon to gobble up as much as I can on NLP, writing, and copywriting.
