I am discuss of off page optimization and there are more effective type.

A. directory submission (do you think)
B. search engine submission
C. Link Building (only high pr site and relevant site.)
D. social network
E. forums posting
F. blog comment posting.
G. RSS submission
H. Article Submission
I . E-book Submission

etc.......if these are many techniques use all seo/webmasters.do you think increase website traffic & top ranking. anyone you know tell me.......

hi............,
I am wondering why Google Analytics doesn't track my traffic from Stumbleupon. It reallly bothers me because when I look at my referral sources, they don't even show Stumbleupon, and it should be my vewry top one. Besides that, Analytics won't track my most-viewed content, they only track my wordpress categories that are viewed the most.

The techniques that works for me are forum posting and blogging with anchored text. Why you ask? Because in all other techniques like directory, article and PR submission, you have to wait for an approval before you could get that one golden backlink but with forum posting and blogging. Backlinks are already guaranteed.

The best results you can get is if you use all of the techniques at the same time. That would bring you the desired SERPS, but only if your website is well optimised and for not more than 4-5 keywords per page. Which means the same words in <keywords><description><title> and in the text itself, also a good thing is to make all outgoing links nofollow...

Seems like we all agree that backlinks are a key ingredient in the SEO mix. Of course these backlinks need to come from high Page Rank sites.

Here's a technique I like to use for myself. Go to Alexa and look at the Top 100 ranked websites. About 40 or so of these are social bookmarking sites and networks. That's where you should focus your efforts for the best ROI on backlinking.

I've found sites listed there that I would have never heard of if not for this technique. (probably shows my age!)
