I use Google Analytics combined with the log analyzer I have installed on the server. Are there any better options?

Default analytics tracking for Real Estate

Yeah, I like statcoutner's easy to use navigation. Google Analytics is good too, just a bit cluttered. Most reporting tools show similar stats. GA has bounce rate which can come in handy.

Michael, what is the log analyzer you are referring to? Does it do something beyond tracking what GA does? I am trying to figure out how I can track a single visitor from entrance to exit.

    Hi,

I would recommend (and I use) Google Analytics. It gives a lot more flexibility than any other statistics tool like Statcounter.

I have recently found a more innovative and intuitive tool called Clicky (www.getclicky.com).

The combined reports of these tools gives you enough details about a visitors behavior.

    Default Tracking

How would tracking someone's meandering thru your site assist you?

I track how many people looked at certain pages and where they came from; what were the common keywords they used in their searches.

I use this information to "Tweak" the content to the readership interest.
If I am successfull then my sign in rate will increase.

I am looking at the individual sign in pages to see how they can be improved to gather a sign in.

Track what forums or web adverts are bring people to your site. Increase your input on their sites. If the adverts are bring people it would make sense to continue advertising there.
