    Default Hurricane Opportunity

I'm down here in S. Louisiana and as you know we just experienced a severe hurricane. I was wondering today what real estate investment opportunities might present themselves due to this unusual situation. Many homes were severely damaged and many people are without homes and need a place to live.

I would be interested in some ideas or suggestions from other investors as to how they would use this situation to advance their real estate business.

    Have a Great Day!

I heard after katrina so many investors poured in that prices were relatively high but that was at the top of the bubble. So I dont think that will happen this time. I would look for properties that have structural problems but not water damage. Water damage is a mess. It basically messes up everything. So basically I would look for properties that were hit but didnt flood.

Invest in areas that fall within the GO ZONE. The goverment offers significant tax incentives in certain areas along the gulf coast in Texas, Louisiana etc. Try doing a google search for the terms investment and GO ZONE.

Agreed. Floods can be very unpredictable. So take them out and find places or house that didn't flood.
