I Don't Speak Computer...
So we all know the Internet is the place to be. It's where homeowners are looking for homes and professionals. So how to we master it?
Let's face it, we're not computer scientists, we're real estate professionals. Having your own website isn't cheap and trying to figure out how to get people to visit it is even harder.
Do you know how to create a photo uploader or post references from your past clients on your website? Can you create a messaging system or a way to keep in touch with all of your contacts?
A few years ago all the rage was having your own Myspace Profile - being able to display yourself on the web for free. So how can I do the same in real estate?
Any ideas?Save on advertising, grow your business, get better quality leads. Join Habidoo.com today.

Set up a myspace and facebook page or a google website. This is how you would do it for free, however, it will be a waste of your efforts if you are trying to develop a lot of traffic. SEO would be horrible for these options.
If you are serious about getting on the internet and driving traffic to your website go with a custom built site that you have access to editing meta tags, header tags and alt tags. Write your own web content after doing a word tracker search for the best real estate keywords in your area.
Next to drive traffic to your site join multiple real estate forums and answer questions and take part in discussions. The forums you choose should allow "do follow" links in your signiture.
On top of this join a group of real estate professional that are levaraging social sites like Digg, Propeller, Del.iouc.us, Stumble Upon, and Redit. Submit articles to these sites and have others in your social site group do the same. You can also use countless other social bookmarking sites. As google loves links from these avenues.
There is a huge movement starting of bloggers running "do follow" blogs. You can pick up back links to your site by commenting on these blogs.
Now if you can not afford a custom website than go with a wordpress blog that has the real estate theme plug-in and frame your MLS IDX into it. If you choose to take the following advice please, please, please do not spam. The last thing the internet needs is another spammer. Make sure that if you choose to use any of the above suggestions that you only provide high quality information to all those taking part in the web community.Last edited by jamesww; 07-23-2008 at 09:39 AM.

I suggest you create a blog about your properties and share it to the world.
There are also free classified listings that you can post your property.
