Domain name forwarding...
I have a few Real Estate domains registered... I am planning to marketing my name domain (www.myname.com) and then forward it to my SE friendly (cityhomesbyrod.com) url. Is this a good idea? Does it matter that it forwards?
Your thoughts please...

My domain name is very descriptive but long so I used a permanent 301 redirect to forward my short name (myname dot com) to my primary domain. I use the short name in off-line marketing as it fits on business cards & is easier to type.

Any search engine issues? Do you find your SE results are fine the way you have it setup?

I have a site that just made it out of the Google sandbox and it actually has many domain names pointing to it. In fact, I have to remove most of them - thanks for reminding me! I have #1 positions for my main kw's (& others) in MSN, #2 in Yahoo & #8 in Google (got spit out of the sandbox at #2 position - went to #11 & am working my way up).
