What are great ways to advertise spending no money?

Are you talking about advertising your websites online without spending any money? I know real estate agents are very active in search engine marketing for their sites. I'm not really sure what you are asking. If you can clarify, maybe I might be of help.

I agree with repa. Submitting high quality content to many of the social book marketing and social news sites can give you alot of traffic and if you have useful tools on your site they will help convert this traffic into sales. Repa and I are creating a Digg group to help increase traffic for members blogs and websites if you are interested in joining the group most that you are in the thread called "I want to start a Digg group." Buzz marketing. If you can generate some buzz about the service or product you are selling, there is no better way than word of mouth marketing.

Write a good blog is a powerful way to generate strong interest. However, in the blogging world, standing out of the crowd is not an easy undertaking. Keeping up with a blog is serious work.

There are some free websites you can market for free, like Craig's List.

As others have suggested, promoting yourself through the internet can be a very cost effective mechanism.

If you're looking for some other ideas check out Guerrilla Marketing for Free by Jay Levinson. It has some ok suggestions for ways to market without spending a dime.

CraigsList is by far one of the best advertising methods. Also, vflyers or Postlets has worked great for us!

Use some firefox plug in tools like "search status" to find out what sites are using "no follow" trags..and do not waste your time on those sites unless you are expecting to get traffic from those sites not SEO boost...

I have not try craiglist yet. I advertise all my listings at mousehousetour dot com. Works great for me in terms of creating good link pop to my own site. All their mls-listings are also search engine friendly. That works great for me.
