Most Creative Advertising Technique
Hey guys lets make this a thread that we can all bookmark because of the amazing ideas that we can come up with for the most creative and or effective advertising we ever did to attract prospects. It can be guerrilla marketing, viral marketing, or online marketing.
My one most creative idea was NOT VERY CREATIVE:
As soon as I started real estate, I went around the town square of our 15,000 population town and just guerilla marketed that square. I put up my personal flier on all 5 of the bulletin boards that were on the square. They usually got taken down every night by the newest band that was playing on the square (As you can see it was a college town) (Ole Miss).
I put these fliers up every 3 days for about a month. I didn't have a lot of money starting out so its all I could do. When I obtained my first listing, I put it in the home guide. It was only one block in the whole magazine for a little condo. I had people calling me saying, I just called because I wanted to see the condo. Surprisingly they usually stuck around and I would sell them something different. Along the process, just about every time I was told, "I see your face everywhere". Well....There was only one place they could have seen it.
I gave them the impression that I was an Expert and I did TONS of business when in reality, I haven't even sold a property yet!
I look forward to hearing your techniques!

So 80 or so views and no ideas? I think this would be a great thread to post in and get some ideas. I too am looking for something "new"
I guess my thing that I can contribute is that I started a forum like this but geared towards my region. www dot queencityarea dot net leads per se but one day I hope it to be the go to place for Charlotte information.
I have started getting into basic video's and uploading to youtube etc. Getting some good hits but nothing concrete as of yet.
I am also looking for some good ideas for property marketing such as listings etc.
Come on folks lets get those ideas cranking!

Advertising and Promotion Recipe 1: Forum Posting
Starting today, I will be posting some advertising methods with detailed explanation so if you are looking for some specific advertising strategy, this will be a good start. I will be writing a series of articles under Advertising and Promotion Recipe and all of these advertising methods will mainly focus on personal sites, since the audiences of Myseoblog.net are webmasters, bloggers, and online moneymakers. These methods are less effective to bigger companies considering that they have funds to pay Pay-per-click and SEO Companies to promote their products and services. These series of articles will mainly focus onLast edited by Chief Tutor; 06-23-2008 at 10:02 AM.

online marketing will be the best idea in order to get more visibility and popularity. you don't need to go outside.

VBCannon, I admire your tenacity and quick thinking. Most folks would've told themselves that putting up fliers a few days a week wouldn't work. Maybe marketing isn't rocket science after all.

Rainier's right to say that online marketing is a great way to get yourself out there cost-effectively.
Especially in this turbulent climate, another idea is to offer to write a free column on real estate for your local newspaper or chamber of commerce newsletter. That's one of the tricks suggested by Thomas J. Stanley--author of The Millionaire Next Door and Marketing to the Affluent.
I also strongly recommend Bluetooth marketing. It's low-cost, high yield and helps you maximize your results among prospective buyers. Check out more on Bluetooth marketing at bluetoothbroadcasting.blogspot.com.Jason Anderson

I agree. Forum posting is awfully helpful. I built a successful photography blog through that alone....haven't tried it yet for real estate.
