Blogging is one of the bests way to market your site. But I think there are some things to consider when blogging. Our blog must and should be concise, readable, informative and direct to the point. Of course it must be correct in spelling and grammatically error less. Also it must be factual when the content is more on business like Costa Rica real estate or US real estate or current events.

Agreed! Blogging can be very time consuming though. Also, the key to a good blog is its unique content.

Very good points. I think that it is also important to let your personality shine through in your posts. This will usually make the reading more entertaining and also distinguish you from other blogs.

Not only is blogging a good promotional tool, but it also gets the web crawlers coming to your site regularly, which will help your search engine results and PR ranking.

It is one thing to have a blog, it is another to generate enough interest so more people come read it. There are so many blogs out there - most of which are not worth reading. Many of them recycle the same ideas over and over. So, people are picky about what they read. You need to have do a bit of marketing for your blog to attract some attention. If you are successful in getting attention, still it is a very time-consuming task to keep up with a blog and come up with fresh ideas and contents all the time. Maitaining an interesting and popular blog can be full-time job by itself. You need to be prepared for that before jumping in.

I couldnt agree more...blogging is the least expensive way of driving people to your site...as soon as the search engines pick it up. Keep writing great content and your blog will rank well in the search results.

I'm a big fan of blogging. It's an excellent marketing tool. Not only does it get your name out there and your site it also helps you out in the search engines. Some agents I know have actually hired assistants for the sole purpose of blogging on there behalf. As fractional-homes said it is very time consuming.

Blogging is a great way to go - if you can get people interested and get them to come back!

I find for business blogs short and readable is best.

If you've got a lot of blogs to keep track of you could spend hours reading just to catch up on their latest news.

    Default Blog Syndication

The trick to blogging is that they must be useful so people will read them. It also helps to trade syndications with other people's blogs as well. This will improve your blog rankings.

all correct, though you can write your opinions about the news in the newspaper and be relevant as far the the search engines are concerned. Not my advice but it works.
