Picture in your mind of what you would like to be.
There is a law in psychology that says if you form a picture in your mind of what you would like to be, and you keep and hold that picture long enough, you will soon become exactly as you have been thinking."

My thoughts as to what this might mean to us in our business:
I have written to this quote in prior months, but new thoughts come to me that should be shared. This quote was probably inspired by the Biblical idea: "As you think, so shall you be." So true! So think about it. We think in pictures, just as we dream in pictures. We don't dream or think in words, sentences, or phrases, but mental images. The words we choose are merely symbols that allow us to communicate those mental pictures. What pictures do you have of your success in real estate? Do you picture yourself accepting a Top Sales award, or being honored for your community involvement? How about the picture you have of buying that new house or special gift for your wife or husband because you closed that really big deal. Or that look on the face of your child when they know how secure they are because of your work efforts. Do you see things of abundance, or do you see pictures of negativity, lacking, and scarcity? If you are seeing and dreaming images of abundance you have to learn to hold those pictures without allowing anyone to weaken them. If you can hold them long enough you will actually convert them into reality. Why not think more abundantly? There really isn't any down side to it when you really think about it. Someone once said, "whatever attitude you adopt into your life is what you will attract." I believe the same applies to whatever it is you "picture" your life to become will be.

If you've ever read "The Secret", that's one of the concepts they talk about. Our manager is really into this book (I have the audio Cds so I can listen to them in the car) and the entire idea is the law of attraction. Basically whatever signals you send out to the world, you'll attract them back to you.
Pretty interesting concept that has worked for me sometimes, and sometimes it hasen't. I may need to work on it a bit more.
