    Default Video Email Campaigns

Are many real estate agents using email campaigns and what are your response rates? Do you send out monthly newsletters to your list of contacts? I'm curious, and as you can see from my sig I'm promoting a video email company. I don't want this to sound like this is an ad, because I do want to be a member of this forum and I can bring value when it comes to marketing online. If possible, I would like to open up a discussing of using email, particularly video email, in your marketing campaigns. Thanks!

Here are my thoughts on using video email marketing campaigns for real estate agents. An obvious one would be to send a client or potential client an email video of a property they are interested in looking at. Of course, have all the tracking so you would know when the recipient views it and if they forward it on to someone else. But I was also thinking about agents who do a monthly market update email using video to get in some face time with current and past clients and show off some hot properties. Now next time someone they know is looking for an agent there might be a good chance of the emails getting forwarded to them. Or, if there is a property in the video that the client knows someone else may be interested in, they may forward it on. If the video has just the right mix, there is the chance it could get a little viral action going on.

I could be way off base, but the person who got me interested in video email marking is a real estate agent and he said agents are really excited about this because it is easy to use and very professional looking. Does anyone have any thoughts, good or bad on this idea?

Anyone who is using a similar method or using regular email campaigns with newsletters and such, what kind of response rates are you getting? Do most agents keep a database of all their clients email addresses and stay in touch with them? Sorry if these are dumb questions, I

I have actually been thinking about creating video to promote our services but I am not very creative and never ended up writing a script for it.

Do you get a lot of returns on these for being too big? or have problems loading?

justicewhite, there are many places to get videos professionally created that are not very expensive. As the use of video on the internet keeps growing as a marketing tool, I expect these to get even cheaper.

rob22911, to use video and email "Smartly" you do NOT want to embed the video into the email itself. For one thing, most isp's would block it, and another thing is alot of people would not appreciate being forced to download or watch a video.

The best way to use video and email as a marketing tool is to have a link from the email message itself to a hosted webpage that includes the high streaming video message you have created. Then if you use tracking you can tell when someone opens your email and watches your video. You can even tell when someone sends the video to someone else and they watch it (viral action).

For an easy and cost effective way to do this, check out the links in my sig on my first post above or in my profile.

Being a real estate agent for the last 4 years (marketing director for our team) and a past videographer, this thread obviously caught my interest.

To be honest, I'm not sure how practical it would be to create videos of listings specifically for emailing clients. The particular team I work with has about 30 listings in all different price ranges. However, our MLS has thousands of listings. For me to have a buyer that actually fits one of our listings is usually slim to none. Listings usually get sold by other agents.

Now should agents create videos of their listings? Absolutely. In fact I wrote an article about it and even showed how to create them. But I wouldn't use emails as the avenue of distribution.

Now, where I could see videos and emails working happily together would be in monthly newsletters or market reports or things of that nature. I would create a webpage (not an entire site) that included some market numbers and maybe an article about local events. But at the top of the webpage, there would be a streaming video with you introducing yourself and thanking your clients for coming to the page. Then maybe give a summary of what's on the page, remind them about your personal website, ask for referrals, then thank them for visiting again. This could be just 2 or 3 minutes long.

    Well, that's how I would do it....in fact....maybe I will

creativeagent, what you say sounds like a great idea.

One advantage of using a video email campaign over setting it up on your website is the ability to track who views the video that is part of the email campaign and who forwards the video on to others (viral action). Plus with the right program it could be easy to create a campaign that looks very professional and you can even have a template created that matches your website. Tracking and ease of use should be considered as it can save people a lot of time and headaches.

PM me if you would like to run a free trail video email campaign on what you are thinking about. Here is an example of what it could be similar too (with your video instead and your own template)
