Free MLs Listings, IggysHouse - feedback
Has anyone used IggysHouse, free MLS listings, or comparables?
I would like to hear sincere feedback.
I paid for a flat fee listing service for my own real estate several months
ago before hearing about fee mls listings.
If you have not used this service, would you?
If not, why?

Problem
This is the second rude, uncalled for response I have gotten from
Malok. I requested sincere feedback because I want to know.
I am not a spammer. Malok, if you are angry at the world, don't take it
out on me.

It at least got some of the links removed in your posts. Your posts were averaging 5-6 links in the body of each post.
If you act like a real person, I will provide whatever constructive input/assistance I am able.
Act like a blatant promotion spam machine, and I will make a point to blackball you and discredit your efforts.
Now, that you appear to be acting like a real person:
The "Free" MLS listings can provide a service to a certain segment of the market.
The biggest and most consistent problem I've seen is flawed/incorrect data being uploaded from the local MLS to the sites, and I find the term "free" misleading for the consumer.
Its not free.** These services get paid.
I'd say that at some point there will be a lawsuit regarding the use of the word "free" in their advertising without a * beside the name.
Its more of a Rebate Program and probably would be better served to market using that terminology IMO.
**Yes, I'm aware that there is a listing of what free services are provided on subsequent pages. But America is lawsuit happy. These people will get sued - particularly if they have any success. Just a matter of time.Last edited by Malok; 09-07-2007 at 01:59 PM.

Question
First of all, thanks for responding.
Secondly, have you looked at all of my posts?
My initial post was intended to explain what I am doing.
Next question. Have you looked at IggysHouse.com?
It is really free and an excellent service. They have another
company on the buyer's side and even it heavily discounts
the commission.
I am sold on the concept. I also do really care about what I endorse.

Yes, I've looked at EVERY SINGLE POST that you've made. Since my "rude" post - you have made an effort to make relevant responses in other threads.
And yes, I've looked at that site that you've been posting/promoting.
It is quite clear that you are sold on the concept.
I'm glad you think its awesome.
With the current real estate market, in most places its more of a buyer's market than a seller's. Throwing a listing on the MLS and waiting for the phone to ring will leave a lot of persons disappointed - and potentially squander the time that they need to actually get their property sold.
If this concept had been launched several years ago when it was a seller's market in most parts of the country, it would probably enjoy much greater success.Last edited by Malok; 09-07-2007 at 05:00 PM.

Hi
The media would have the public think that. True, in some parts
of the country there are problems, but if you go beyond the attention
getting hype, one will find that many areas of the country are doing quite
well. In fact, if ones believes it is universally a buyer's market, many mistakes will be made and opportunities lost.
NC in general is doing quite well. Greensboro recently outperformed
Charlotte and Raleigh in a listing stat. People are moving into NC and
especially in Charlotte in droves.
I represented a close friend a few months ago in one of my rare buyer's
agency performances. The same day that the house went on the market
in Charlotte, we were one of 3 bids and the next day had to go above
asking price and we got the house (it has gone up approx $ 30,000 +
in a few months). Had we taken the posture that it was a buyer's market,
we would have failed.
Real estate is always location and timing!
