    Default The Internet

I'm older so I am still relatively new to the internet. If I was to list a property I would most likely want to use the internet. My question is: As real-estate agents, how successful has the internet been as a marketing tool for you?

We most multiple listing services use the interenet these days. So your properties will make it onto the internet.

If you are talking about creating your own website to list properties that is a seperate thing. You would need to spend lots of time, money and effort to build a good website. You can drive in business that way. But you can also be sucessful without it.

While it is true you can be successful with a quality website, or even any website at all, it's not recommended that you neglect this area of your business. It doesn't need to cost a lot of money to create a real estate website and the potential benefit far outweigh the costs. according to N.A.R. 80% of people are now starting their property search online. If you live in a small geographic region it may not take that long to optimize your site to perform well in the search engines. So while it does take time (and lots of it), it's one of those things that you can do in your spare time. It's also much better to get started in this process sooner rather than later as there is a "delayed gratification" element to search engine optimization strategies.

    all the best
