Default How do you generally generate leads

I'm a new licensee...not even working yet but understanding that lead generation is a big deal. I'm wondering how you guys get most of your leads if you care to share. I like to visualize in my head various courses of action so any info would be appreciated! Thanks!

    Default Lead Generation

Lead generation is part personal preference, part market area oriented and very much budget oriented. Since none of that is available information in your post, there are a number of approaches that could work for you. As in many things, most anything you plan and execute well will work for you in some way.

I have a New Agent Plan set of free articles that will give you specific help in getting your marketing going. Good luck.

I use my website to generate leads. My website has lead captures such as about 50 different forms they can fill in for more information.

    Default Link Exchange

Wish I could help you. About.com is a New York Times Company and the site is not mine. As it is national in scope, the only links currently being done are to blogs about the real estate industry and the business, rather than local sites or sites marketing real estate companies, etc.

    Thanks for your comments.

    Default Google Adwords

I think a great way to generate leads is with Google Adwords. You can be specific to your market and pay for clicks for words your customers are likely to use "Homes for sale Winter Park, Fl" etc. using phrases will be cheaper than using something like "Real Estate Winter Park"

    Hope this helps

How many people do you know? The average person knows 50. So if you market to your 50 and ask for referrals (on a consistant basis), you are potentially reaching 2,500 people.

Who would you rather work with? A total stranger from the web who is cold or a friend of a friend who already has some trust in you?

Build relationships. Present value. Ask for referrals.

    You will get leads.

    Default All of the above!

All of you presented different ways of reaching new customers and each one of them can be effective and relatively inexpensive. Actively working on all of them will definitely help to bring in good leads. Build a good website that is informative and specific to the areas you want to sell. If you don't already have organic rankings in the search engines for your top search terms, you can use Google adwords to generate leads and also put a budget on your adwords so you don't spend more than you want. Join a networking group or your local Chamber of Commerce. Attend mixers, sponsor events, meet people and get involved......

    Default Swap Leads

I don't know if you've heard of swapping qualified leads with other realtors for a percentage of all resulting sales.

I hear some people are raking in using this strategy in unique and creative twists

The first thing to focus on is having something that will capture a lead, then your PPC campaign will work as well as in the future when you begin to show up on the search engines
