    Hello,

What do you folks think of Flat Fee Brokers and Discount brokerage companies. I think they are the way of the future as more sellers get tired of paying the "going rate". I think Buyers and Sellers of Real Estate will move online at phenominal rates and that we as real estate agents will lost business to the Internet just like travel agents did. I am not whining, I have a place online and hope to survive it. Take Care out there. Be honest and know your rights.

Discount brokerage have still hard time since they do not pay buyer's agent(at least here). They charge $2995 at closing and when you call the listing agent to ask showing instructions and they tell you that there's nothing for you at closing, they have to sell themselves.
    Still hard time for them...

The ones that charge a flat fee and basically just use our MLS system to attract their own buyers. It seems Most Realtors frown on this type. I do think more and more buyers are going directly to listing agents to cut down on the chaos that sometimes occur. And Sellers are using more Internet tools to sell their homes. I think if your going to use a Realtor you may as well get in the game with everyone else. I think as a Seller that you are at a disadvantage with the above situation because you get less potential buyers and though you SAVED on commission supposedly YOU will most likely get a far less price for your property, which is good for the buyer I guess.
