I use mine as a tool not only to show off all of my listings but also to help potential clients get to know me personally.

marketing
If you are a new re agent, you should focus on prospecting and not web sites. Get off your feet and in the streets!
A flasy website does not create sales, use a provider who uses WYSIWIG, most brokerages provide agents with a site or page, just use the basics. Worry about making a sale, not a web site.

I am not a realtor but I would suggest getting a web site.
If you talk to any tech guy about your service we ask for your web site address.
We feel like we know more about you if we see that you have a web site.

Give Before You Want
The best way to develop yourself as an expert in your area over the lng term, is to create a site that gives good quality information for FREE.
And that's not your listings! I learnt this from a guy who makes $100,000/MONTH Check it out sponsoringleaders.comRegards

Some Successful Marketing Ideas
Best resource to use is the internet. First thing to do is invest in real estate website with quality graphics, visuals and IDX solutions. This is very important. The "look and feel" of a website is a reflection of the time, effort, and money spent on its development and may indicate your commitment to the accuracy of the information and quality of your services. The quality of your website will increase and secure leads. I did this and was immidiately successful. Email me and I will refer you some good real estate web design companies.

web site
There is NO DOUBT that a web site is important. But.... for a NEW agent some things are more important than others. Having a good looking site with MLS features is important, but not as important as working your SOI in regards to new agent. Like I said, for now just do the basics for the site, worry about your first pay day as it is atleast 30+ days out... Once you have more than a foot in the door, then start working on a great web site.
