Default Use your business card to get a listings or a buyer

I've got a new idea, I've made business cards just for leaving at listings I show. With larger print that says "We just showed your home again, we can get it sold for you" This stands out from the other cards and the seller will notice it. When their home doesn't sell, they'll call you with the feeling that you have many buyers ready to buy.

No it only means the price is wrong. If the price is right, nothing is difficult to sell.

Sure, any home will sell if the price is cheap enough. That is a weak excuse for sales people not wanting to do their job.

A good sales person will understand the market and the conditions and figure out how to get the most for their clients, not make excuses and just tell the seller to drop the price.

As a listing agent, get creative and find ways to appeal to buyers that are willing to spend more. Your job is to help MARKETt he house, not just post in an MLS system and wait for someone to make an offer.

I have worked with a lot of realtors and seen some really good ones out there that are inventive and creative. They find unique ways to bring shoppers in and get offers. I have also seen plenty that continually fall back on "you are overpricing your house, you need to lower your asking price". While having a house priced reasonably is an important piece, I think this line is used way too often by agents that are just not doing much to actually market the house to potential buyers.

Agents need to earn their commission by not just posting it to MLS, printing up a few housing flyers and spending a few sundays in an open house.

What methods do you use to sell overpriced homes, JavaJack?

This is pure nonsense coming from someone who does not understand the process involved in selling a house.

If I find someone willing who is to pay too much for your house the next thing I will do is get hollered at by you, the seller, because the buyer could not get a loan and the deal died. The buyer could not get a loan because the house appraised lower than then contract price, which killed the loan.

Oh, but what about somebody who has cash? The reality is, cash buyers expect a discount because they have cash.

I make a business card for the purpose of leaving my contact information with people I have met - so in case that they need some services that is like mine, they can easily look into their wallets and look for business cards and my business card is there.

Dangerous IMO. This could be argued as soliciting a listing of another agent (which it is by your own admission).
