Default Facebook Crash Course to Marketing.

I made a FaceBook profile and then relized that most business use Facebook pages. So I built one of those but then I couldnt add friends other than the ones on my current profile. I guess they link together.

Do you have to request friends from your profile page and then invite them to your facebook page?

I dont know millions of people but I sure would like to get my info to them. How do you all rack up friends. I thought to maybe go on local business pages and request to be friends with their friends. Chances are they are in my community. I dont think there is a way to get a listing of all Facebook users that reside in my community. What do you all do?

I agree that joining different groups according to your interests and leave links everywhere there as this is practically the only way. You are right that it is impossible to have 1 mln friends.

The best thing you can do is to posts in your fb wall something about your business page. Then start adding your friends and also search for other friends that they have in their profile. Eventually, the friends of your friends in facebook might have a big chance to see your business page and then click or visit the page. Once they get interested on it, they will most likely go through your business page and then share it with other prospects too.

Facebook's PPC campaigns are pretty effective with getting fans too. They are especially nice since you are able to target very, very specific markets.

Post very engaging posts that are both interesting and cause a conversation, then try to have as many of your personal friends share the page and watch it grow slowly..
