Any Ideas How To Jumpstart Ones Career
Dear Friends
I've been licenced to sell Real Estate for about 7 years now, and let me be the first to say I enjoy working in Real Estate, and want to take my business to the next level, but don't know how to do it.
In my first seven years I've only SOLD a total of 12 homes. Everybody knows the saying "YOU HAVE TO LIST TO LIVE" How can one generate listings when your picture isn't printed in the newspaper as a "TOP PRODUCER"?
Not having a large family who will promote me what can I do to attract listings? Past efforts include calling and visiting FISBO'S, knocking on doors, delivering door hangers and having a large magnet on my car!
I want to make 2012 my best year ever, and need to take the steps today to make it work. Any ideas?

Andys, have you tracked the yield on your past marketing efforts? Have you just taken a single crack at these efforts you mentioned above? You must "campaign" to achieve any consistent yield on your efforts. What about mailers every 6-8 weeks? Do you have any yard signs? Are you even ready for more than 2 listings at a time right now? Just some things to think about. Good luck!

Network, network, network!
Make sure you get out and network at professional gatherings and chamber of commerce events. Carry lost of business cards and make sure everyone you meet gets 2, one to keep and 1 to give away.

I would agree with all of these other points and ideas. Do you have a website, are you blogging, connected on Linkedin and active on Facebook. If not, get with it.

I agree with maui. SEO is key to staying on top of your market. I am a member of a website that is currently helping me with SEO in regards to boosting my real estate business.

Are you using a real estate contact management system? I would begin that way as It'll help you build the amount of referral and repeat business you get. A system like IXACT Contact has pre-designed marketing plans built in with drip email capabilities. You can Google IXACT Contact and then sign up for a free trial on the website.

why not take advantage of the internet. you can use it for marketing your real estate business. I guess you can rely on the advice on most of the people here, that SEO will help you in your business.

SEO really helps in marketing of your business. you should learn SEO, it really works. you can do it yourself also. if you have any website then take important links of your website & put information on good & famous (professional) SEO websites. then see how wonder it works. I have learnt this last year.
CLV Group Ottawa apartments for rent and also available Sarnia apartments for rent, Toronto, Hamilton, Stratford apartments for rent across Ontario.

For Starters
For starters you need to network, network, network. Network online AND offline. Door to door randomly is not efficient in my opinion. Door to door in neighboorhoods/types of homes you want to sell. Don't be a jack of all trades (I don't know how big of a community you live in), a jack of all trades is an ace of none. Personally I recommend Facebook. It's easy and FREE. Create a page and market the hell out of it. Tell everyone you know about it and have them like it. And then a mistake not to make, post consistently. Make a page and post to it at least 3 times a week. Not necessarily about real estate either. A great example to follow is the Corcoran Groups FB page. Try maybe having a picture of something in the community always on Fridays (brainstorm, brainstorm, brainstorm). Also if you know how to make a custom postlet, post to Craigslist. Craiglist is a source for people who want to buy now - not in 5 years.
Just a few ideas
