Social media: How aggressive are you with it?
Do you use social media as a real estate marketing tool? I've noticed several realtors using Facebook and Twitter but I'm kind of scared of looking aggressive by promoting on these things. How do you guys do it? Or should social medias be ignored altogether?
Does this method I found sound good? connectionsinrealestate.com/real-estate-marketing-via-social-media.html
Thanks for your comments and recommandations.

Whenever I would get invites or notifications about someone trying to be my friend (but the name is of a company) coming from people I don't really know or if their profile looks made for business, even if it is one of my interests, I don't accept them and if ever there will be those that I will miss and they send me messages about their promos, I REPORT THEM.
Well, I don't really see social media sites as a promotional tool but rather a good contact point. Nobody would want to get promotions on their social network accounts (unless they ask for them).

Social media: how aggressive are you with it?
If you are going to use social media as a marketing platform then it does take interaction other wise it can be deemed as spam mail. The social network site have had a positive response for me, I use Twit mainly to keep clients updated on new properties, lots of people have smartphone so its gets to them instantly.

Kind of hard to be both social and aggressive at the same time?

MN realtors
There are a number of realtors here in our MN real estate market that use social media effectively. Before posting something, I personally ask myself: Is this of value? Is it interesting and giving my followers something useful? Simply sending out an agent's 25 active MLS listings and a description on each one isn't a good use of social media. Consumers and fellow agents can find all the listings for sale on our MN MLS system.
I also try not to post too often. Make it valuable, not too overly frequent.
Just my two cents and I hope this helps. Thank you!Minnesota MLS & Minneapolis MLS Search homes for sale in Minneapolis, St Paul at MN Multiple Listing Service. important lesson
one of the most important thing i learnt at a conference a few weeks ago with rich evans was 'remember why people are on facebook'. they want to talk to their friends, and their friends friends.
people care about stupid inane details like what their old friend from school who they haven't seen in person in 15 years had for lunch, but dont want a company (who may or may not have any actual use to them) spamming them.
become a person on facebook, and get them interested in you as a person. dont spam and become the expert in your field.
