Hi
I totally agree with you. Facebook and Twitter's popularity is increasing at an alarming date, daily! This is a free platform to reach a wide number of potential customers. I am making use of Facebook advertising, and although I am yet to see the results, I am very confident that it will be succesful.

Hang in there
Facebook takes a long time to pay off, but I think the key is to watch the flow of traffic to your site and monitor the source. If you are advertising a central website for potential clients to visit, there are usually features of the website scrip or host that can let you know where every hit linked from. Then you can tell which marketing tools are working best.

Corkin
Corkin.com - Corkin - Free Classifieds Free Ads is free and can help promote as they are search engine friendly. They rank fairly well in the U.S. for sites.
You might creatively use Fiverr . While its only $5 you can let people get to know your business.
Not saying it will definitely bring business but you need every avenue possible.
I'm sending a message to all the CPA's and Lawyers locally to let them know of my service.
I let them know that I'd be happy to send them business as well but the bigger edge is that I provide a service that no other Realtor provides and it makes them look real good so its more than just tit for tat. Sometimes its just being a good resource.
Best,
John
