I like the idea of affiliate marketing, but you need to have an online presence like a blog to put the affiliate links on. A blog about relevant content to the link, no less. I have found that review sites work well. Like a review site about cell companies. You then review each one and have a link for each one. While I have not done it myself, I have seen some great examples online. Just google some random term and then add "reviews" to the end; you should get some great examples.

Blogs are a great idea but why not create one in your field of expertise? It's better to write about what you know and the affiliate marketing you can utilize will be more successful with genuine content. It takes some work to keep a blog fress and traffic worthy. There is no "just add water" system for making money online. Choose something you'll enjoy or that will contribute to your "day" job. Good Luck!
