i agree with you but what about the global websites there is a lot of competition and very difficult to get the rankings

I am doing this right now with my business and finding this worth beneficial for getting listed in search engines. Doing SEO is much beneficial according to me. Instead of targeting only local business.

There was some changes in Google Local listings but, today everything is under Internet marketing and people have to look for new updates and local listing has become very important to earn money and better ROI for the business. Totally agree but still many companies are targeting main keywords and trying to achieve organic rankings. It's far more easy to achieve rankings using local keywords.
