    We all want to think our service or reputation or product is so great that people will line up at our door. It's the old "if you build it they will come" idea. Some companies are so good they deliver "wow" experiences to their customers. This produces great word of mouth marketing for them.

    Word-of-mouth promotion is the best one as people believe such kind of promotion as it's been tested by someone else.

    Call me old-fashioned, but I always assumed that the way you created word-of-mouth referrals was by performing your services exceptionally and leaving your customers so satisfied that they were eager to recommend you to their friends and peers. I always make sure to ask my customers if they were satisfied with the service they received from me, and (assuming they are satisfied) ask that they keep me in mind for any friends, family, etc that they know who may be in need of an agent in the future.

    Well said here, Jonathan. Over-deliver to your clients, and you will see how well word-of-mouth marketing works all on its own!
