Indeed, having the Live Chat Facility on your website is the most effective way to convert your website visitors to be your possible client. It is the most convenient way of communicating.

Being able to respond to your clients in a timely and professional manner is very important in the real estate isdustry. Today it is much easier to connect with people in this manner. You can email, call, or chat at the touch of a button.

VictoriaAdams,
Do you have an example of this in action? Seems like a great idea.

Live chat is a great way to convert your visitors into new sales leads and build trust online. What kinda sucks though is the idea of having to sit behind a computer for 8-11 hours a day waiting to chat with people. This just isn't realistic.
There are solutions out there that I've researched. THere are companies on the Web that will provide you with the live chat for your website and the live operator to answer chats for you. This seems very interesting..
Has anyone tried this kind of service??

Thanks for the Live Chat idea! As six4seven mentioned however, it just isn't feasible to man this operation on your own. This is definitely a service you'd have to add to your website while you're out with active clients.

This seems interesting...
I've done some research and there is a live chat provider called 121LiveAgent.com that provides both the technology and live operators to answer chats with website prospects.
I've contacted them and they quoted me a price of $1.50 per chat or $60 CAD for unlimited monthly live chat support.
Has anyone tried 121LiveAgent or any other live chat service provider where they provide the live operator??

Connect to agents instead
I think live chat is alright-- but a 3rd party service won't be able to effectively answer questions about properties...
Really anymore people like to talk using the keyboard. At the time of establishing a relationship with an agent they are more willing to want to email or submit a contact form. After you already know a buyer they will want to email or call you.
Live chat has it's place for sure. But with the prevalence and ease of smart phones there are other solutions that may be better suited for real estate agents.Berry Enloe
