I know a lot of businesses are dismissing the internet as a saturated platform for marketing a real estate or property management business, but we use the internet to get separate us from the pack. My advice is to stay committed to it - website-wise and social media-wise. It can't be an after thought. You have to stay on top of it, and constantly update it. There are so many companies that seem like cookie cutters of one another, and the internet is a way we use to define ourselves.

Also forgot to mention that Twitter is a fantastic tool to garner a loyal following by tweeting the latest properties for sale/rent through your company.

Good points all. Certainly seems as if online marketing is more important now than ever as we move into the 21st century - and that social media has it's role to play as well.

It is simple to demonstrate a supplier why an start list is a pointless. Some providers will not take start results in this industry because they know that the supplier is not serious and cannot be dedicated to the promotion and examination procedure.

Online marketing has turned into a large driving force in real property. It's the main source of prospects for many real estate agents and brokers.

In On-Line Marketing we have to make a clear distinction between Marketing to HomeBuyers and Marketing to HomeSellers.
We are all pretty focussed on HomeBuyer because this group has adopted massively internet as the tool to search for their future property.
For attracting HomeSellers the story is still a bit different; HomeSellers tend to look still more at your OffLine activities like presence en Magazines, the appearance of your office, offline-publicity etc.
Why is that?

When I was managing a real estate business, almost all our business came from online marketing.
Second was probably word of mouth from happy customers.
I believe a good domain name is important to online marketing, and giving potential customers a good first impression of your business.
Anyway, I am in other line of work now, and selling the real estate internet domains I own: HousesAndApartments.com and Renting.info
If anybody is interested in these, send me a message.
