1. Target related real estate groups in Linked In.
2. Choose top 10 forums and post threads to them often.
3. Create a facebook fan page and drive traffic from your page by updating your status.
4. Creating a twitter account and following folks who have interests in what you do.
5. Comment on similar blogs by making sure that you are the first commenter and you are appearing on the TOP commenter widget.

Great tips. I'm doing all these as well and so far, I'm getting the traffic I want to my site.

An additional tip (if you have a blog) is to regularly post articles that are relevant to your target audience.

Don't forget offline marketing like newspaper ads, magazines, business cards and flyers that all contain your website address. This can account for a good number of visitors to your site.

When you say top 10 forums, are you speaking of forums related to your industry? Or just popular forums in general.

This one confused me a little bit as well..Great tips though, there are a ton of ways to increase the amount of hits your real estate websites get, all a matter of creativity and motivation and persistance!
