Link Exchange strategy
Hi everyone,
I really want to consult something with you all.
Many work very hard on a backlink strategy, I can see some sites have thousands of links pointing to them and a PR of 3, other only 200, and a PR of 4, I can also site software helping in backlining automation, and I also heard someone telling me a link to you is only worth if it is NOT reciprocal...
Can anyone tell me the truth about all this?

Getting links
One way links are the best. You want to add your links only to places that "dofollow", which means some of the page rank juice from the other website filters to your own. Other sites optimize themselves for "nofollow", which means your link is there, but no page rank is being allowed to go to your page. This is especially true with Google--the biggest search engine. To avoid "nofollow" sites, open your Firefox browser and Google this key phrase: "nodofollow add-on". You can copy and paste it into Google and it will bring you to a search. Right now it's the second result in the list. Download it and it will light all the "nofollow" links in red so you know to avoid them.

As previously stated, one way links are certainly the best. However, a few closely related link exchanges also help with the end goal.

I have heard that the pr from the linking site is not as valuable as it once was. I think the important thing is to get as many industry related links as you can and one-way are better than reciprocal.

I would be wary of using software to find links...of course, I may be missing the boat on this. My rationale is that it doesn't too long to find something related to any industry. Even easier is posting in a forum that you are looking to trade links.
