I found real estate marketing through blogs a very efficient way to capture's visitors attention. I am maintaining 4 blogs, 1 is wordpress, 1 is typepad, 1 wetpaint and the other 1 is blogger. All of my blogs has large traffic. Plus, google loves blogs.

Ditto to the importance of blogging as a Realtor or agent.

In my opinion, with all the plugins, SEO capabilities, templates available, user-friendly functions, etc., I'd go with Word Press everytime.

They're free to set up, easy to maintain and have a ton of tools to integrate in order to rise up the search engine rankings. Plus, it gives you an awesome platform to show off your expertise to prospects

Boy, you'd think I was a Word Press rep. or something

Blogging can proof to be an immensely useful platform for the individuals to speak out their minds to the outside world. From teenagers to elderly people, all use this as a journal for radical views on politics, government, system, technology, nature etc. Blogs often become a source for them to communicate with others, especially those who have the same line of interest and also help in expanding thier social circle. It provides means or place for public expression of opinion.

I also find that having a real estate blog is really effective for giving traffic to your main site and also for providing good backlinks.

Thanks! What blog platform do you use for your real estate needs? Considering the traffic and resources you might be needing, which one works the best? As of now, i am using typepad, but I dont find it flexible like wordpress, since there are so many available plugins and themes for wordpress, easy to set up too, yet it block your website for containing embedded videos - that's why i dont use it.

More often than not these blogs are filled with useless information that nobody will read.
Relevant blogs rich in content are king. I hire a company to maintain my blogs, because as great as they are... they are also a lot of work
