Online promotion has turn into the key word for numerous businesses. Real Estate is one of them.
Make your Website more appealing:
When people visit your website, you have very little time to capture their mind before they hit the back button.
Enlist your Website:
look for for the hottest Internet Website Directories and enlist your site there. This can be one of the easiest and most successful ways of free web promotion.
Search Engine Optimization :
Respect the Search Engines. Follow the practice of using web pages that don’t incorporate large amount of code unrelated to your content. Avoid the poor use of frames.
Create a Blog:
Blogging can be more than a communications tool and networking platform for real estate professionals. It can convey personality, generate leads and boost business.
Publish online articles :
Publishing an Article is a proven way to grow your online presence.
Display email id :
Users hate being forced to fill out forms to gather information. but some users may prefer to use their own email to contact the agent directly.
Minimize Attrition :
Attrition follows you every step of your real estate internet marketing.Last edited by Realty Advisors; 04-05-2010 at 11:09 PM. Reason: correction

Among the many ways to market on the internet, and this relates closely to blogging, "article marketing" can be a great traffic source for us agents.
It's a little tougher to get gigantic results because we're targeting a certain geographic area but it can still be effective.
Putting solid, expert content out there with your name and website can really drive some great prospects to you.
EzineArticles.com would be a great free resource I'd recommend for folks.

Very well thought-out response Realty Advisors. I would add to that list "Leverage social media vehicles."

Great points so far
Just to add a well thought out email list newsletter can help wonders as well, not in the search engine rankings but with actual people, also get yourself listed with as many high ranking directories will also improve your page rank.
Hope that helps.Making the World a Happier Place, One Dream Home Sale at a Time

Toronto, great idea with the newletter, it's an easy one that seems to get lost in today's website marketing. I have tried it several times in the past but my biggest issue is finding enough Canadian content to create one.
Can you share what your sources of content are? especially Canadian content.

Well at the moment I am not doing a Newsletter.. my Graphic Design team has shared the idea with me and its merits.
Not sure if I will do one yet.. it was really a suggestion to others. If I do it will be after this site redesign and rebuild.. then I will focus on other marketing tools.
Some of the ideas I might use so I am not yet ready to share them, but I like to help so can give you a couple of concepts.
A successful newsletter not only entertains clients it is informative and viral. So a couple of good ideas are answering a mail bag.. done right you will generate all this free ideas for content.. just by answering questions.
You can start by finding questions online from Yahoo Answers or Askville etc.. modify them to evade being targeted with copyright.. just to get you started.. or just make up the questions again until you have enough people asking questions.
Remember that to be entertaining it should have some sort of twist.. as in the Frugal Agents Guide to A Deal Newsletter.. or the Rich Agents Guide to the Hottest Property.
Target a market.. make it unique.. then entertain them.
In the Real estate business because the clientele is always rotating with new people purchasing and selling.. it creates a unique paradigm in Newsletters.. you have to think quick turn-around of your newsletter base.
Anyways hope that helps..Making the World a Happier Place, One Dream Home Sale at a Time
