I been searching around, looking for the new trends on how to market real estate effectively nowadays. The most common is internet marketing using Social Media and the so called Video Marketing. For you, what are the newest techniques to market your business nowadays? I would appreciate new ideas and techniques you are currently using for marketing. Hope to hear some.

I've read that the newest in internet marketing nowadays is the so-called video marketing. You can put all the good features of your listings there and put it on your blog or done video submission.

There are a lot of techniques that is new in the internet. You can get your website listed on online directories. You can also sign to social networking website and have your story submitted. Surely, there can be endless ways on the internet if you just know how to get around and be involved.

I would like to agree with u that nowadays ppl love to do marketing through video as well as ppl use powerpoint also !!

Yes, video marketing has been on the rsie for almost all markets. Even google shows them on the first page of a search now. Social media has worked ok for me but its just a slow, time consuming process until you get decent results

Having a video of your listings is something that out of town buyers really like. They can see the property online and know if they want to visit that home or not. We are in a smaller town and no one really makes videos for realtors here, so I had my son buy a $150 camera and learn how to edit the videos with camtasia and it was much easier than we thought it would be. We are just starting to do this but everyone really likes them.

Don't waste your time with directories unless they are highly trafficed real estate directories or if they are local business listings. Otherwise they're pretty useless these days.

Video marketing can be effective for real estate if it's done well otherwise it could end up turning a person off. The biggest factor is just getting yourself or your site in front of a buying office and offering a good hook to get them interested in more information.

Can anybody recommend video marketing solutions? Are you taking the video yourself and editing it or are you hiring pros from beginning to end? Any vendor/software recommendations?
