How often do you use email marketing??
Quick question to all real estate agents out there..
How often do you use email marketing to reach out to your clients/prospects? And for what do you use email marketing most (ie Listings, general information etc)?
Thanks in advance for your responses!

Email marketing for me has grown into the #1 channel for marketing and staying in touch with past clients and prospects. Of course, the phone is still an important tool but I have found that the majority of people prefer email contact. Figuring which type of person you are dealing with is beneficial in determining primary vehicle of contact

Email marketing is commonly used for promo's and product updates.
By this way, clients is up-to-date.

Email Marketing
I would be careful about email marketing. It's really easy to overdo it. It is important to stay in touch with past clients but I would limit general update emails to once a month. Any more than that and they'll quit reading what you send them. Mix it up with snail mail to keep things fresh.

Some good points. I agree with the notion that email marketing is the number one source of communication between agents and clients. Especially in today's modern technological era, this trend will only continue to grow!
How often do you use email marketing to keep in touch with your contacts?
Every day? Once a week? Every two weeks? Every month?

I do e-mail marketing regularly once a week, but if there are new updates especially rush for sale properties I will send e-mails to the person who are subscribed to my blog.

I think you have to group clients and prospects into two different groups if you are going to be doing email marketing. Current/past clients won't need the type of incubation that a prospect will.
The key to both I find is to keep it personal. What I mean by that is, don't blast out an obvious template style email to everyone.
so, prospects will be contacted like such:
right away upon getting them as a lead
2 week follow up
6 week follow up
etc,
I will adjust that depending on how quickly they are looking to buy.
Past clients just need to be reminded that you are still "there". once a quarter is usually enough for past clients. But one little trick I use is to try to send them a personal email every so often such as "saw a thing on the news about a big golf sale at ________, I remeber that you play a lot of golf and thought you'd be interested". This type of personal contact can be hard without a system such as top producer but it works WONDERS.
hope this helps some!

I used email marketing when there is new product that I want to promote. Email marketing is not easy. You need resources on it.
