Are browsers sticking around on your real estate website?
Recent Blog on Web4Realty.com:
Generating online traffic to your website is essential to having a successful presence online. However, sometimes traffic alone is not enough. It is important that users stick around to browse your website, and hopefully request more information. Being able to keep web browsers on your website for more than just a few seconds is what separates the successful agents from the mediocre ones.
Here are some following elements that will help browsers stick around to your website as much as possible:

Good design and value of your website is the most valuable thing to consider. The site must have a user friendly environment and the content of the site is very relevant to the field of industry that you are into. A good quality of websites content is the key to push your site into the top of the market.

How to measure "good results"
Very good posts.
I would like to point out that you only know what's "good" and what is "bad" only after you look at your results.
How do you measure results? Conversions.
Here is an example of my work, real estate brokerage in San Diego. REeBroker. They are the fastest growing real estate broker in the country. As far as I am concern that is a pretty good result. I have been working on their marketing campaigns for two years.
This new site went online just a week ago and already we are on the first page on Google for 6 valuable keywords. And the funny thing is I didn't even start building links. To skeptics I can say that this is not a fluke but a result of concerted efforts. Flukes on 6 different pages don't happen with Google. Took me two weeks to build this site, create content and optimize.
I have created valuable content, call to action and used other proven marketing techniques to make this website work. Next I will be working on a blog and pushing more pages to the top on Google.
Let me know what you think.Last edited by Chief Tutor; 11-19-2009 at 10:51 AM.

Re: Are browsers sticking around on your real estate website?
Your website must be not that heavy to load too long. It will not be the favorite of the people with shot patience like me.

I would like to add that in order to do this you must adjust the size of your images especially the properties that you are selling. Large images makes 1 website slower. Another thing as much as possible remove or minimize the flash effects of your website. Large flashes can give beauty to your website but it will lessen your visitors.
For me this is the most important factor to be considered in creating a website. A real estate with only few images and few descriptions receives no value for the visitors. Put a lot of content and value by creating some summaries about the property and its advantages from other properties.
- Content. Browsers are searching online for one thing – information! If your website does not provide relevant, up to date information, the browser will quickly search elsewhere.
- Value. Let’s face it, real estate agents are in a very competitive industry, fighting for the same leads and prospects. Your website must provide value and substance in order to keep users around. You must offer convenience, great information and interaction.

Seo
Customers landing on your page is like walking in the front door of your business, give them what they came for. If they can't see or find it they will leave. I don't have the smarts to know what search engines are looking for. Build a site new customers can use and search engines will use it also (in their results).
