Default Which real estate companies are best for new agents?

I'm planning on getting my real estate agents license in the next few weeks. I've heard that Century 21 and some other companies have their own courses. Is it better to attend their course or just a regular local real estate school. Also what companies are good for new agents.

Hello. Today's real estate market is getting bigger everyday. And things associated with that are getting complicated. So for better understanding go to regular school and then work under a mentor.

Proper training is very important for a new agent, and NAR has the needed training available to all it's members. Having a mentor or broker that is always available is also very important. Some companies have additional training courses for their agents, at the cost of higher desk fees and lower splits.

    Good luck with your endeavor!

If starting out from scratch with no real estate experience, my recommendation would be to pick a company that markets heavily and trains very well.

The heavy marketing is important because, in the beginning, all you will have is your sphere of influence to tap for business. A broker that markets well can get you some increased business through floor time calls, open houses, print ads and the like.

Joining a broker that trains well is also very important. Good training will make you sound less like a green agent and more like an authority to prospects. Additionally, good training will also give you a proper foundation to avoid litigation down the road.
