    Default Marketing Strategies

I am a part time real estate agent who is making the transition to being a fulltime agent for Century 21. I have been doing this for about 4 months and i understand that it takes about 5 months to make a sale. I wanted to see what other agent do in order to generate leads and what works best for you. I seem to be strugling a little and im looking for a little motivation and advice. I have been holding open houses around the beach areas and i have been doing cold calls but they dont seem to be generating any real leads. Again i am doing this part time so that might be a reason... what do u think ?

Why don't you drive around and find the ugly vacant houses and track down the owners. A lot of these people want to sell. Plus you'll meet real estate investors who you'll list their houses when they are done fixing them up. Another thing you can do is knock on doors of people in foreclosure and finding out if they want to sell their house.

Well you have to do traditional good old marketing as well as online marketing. I know for a fact that online marketing is very powerful and can be success factor. First You must have a website. Then get a professional SEO guy to do some optimization. This will make your website visible to potential customers. Go for some advertising campaigns like adsense (which is done by Google). Better to do a email campaign also...

As an agent it is important to keep your self motivated. Lets just say your doing it for the benefits of your client. And bare in mind that a good agent needs thoughtful effort and time.

I agree completely, online marketing is huge for the real estate industry. Most people begin their search for real estate/homes online and it is a great opportunity for agents to get leads. Do some research on pay per click (Adwords) and SEO. Make sure you have a good site before you run any ads online.
