I've been studying SEO techniques for nearly a year. I've been applying them to my Cincinnati Home Buyer website. My site now ranks on page 1 for several search terms; and I went from a Page Rank 0 to Page Rank 2 in about 6 weeks. My website lead volume went in a month to what I used to get in a year.

I started the SEO for Realtors blog on request from several other Realtors on ActiveRain. My intention was to cut through all the SEO bull and publish just the meat of what it took to get my real estate website on the map.

Using the techniques I published there, the SEO for Realtors blog achieved a #5 - first page Google ranking about 7 days after I first bought the domain name. In the process, I pushed two for-hire SEO companies that promote real estate websites to positions 6&7.

That's particularly gratifying, in that I've dropped several grand with SEO companies over the last few years - with no noticeable effect.

SEO is a great way to promote any website to the internet definitely help to increase traffic of one's site. I think it will work for Realty blogs too.

Great Blog. I did the same thing to my mortgage sites after having paid thousands to a SEO company. I discontinue them and did it myself. Now my sites are ranking higher than previous and higher than sites that have paid seo work done.

SEO should be the long term goal of any real estate webmaster, not just for SERP but developing quality links that bring you traffic.

Great post about SEO and the benefits of it. I checked out your blog and will be reading it to learn more about SEO. I know somethings about SEO but not everything. I'm in the beginner stage.
