    Default New Website Feedback Please

Just made this website (my first) this weekend for my wife. I used yahoo sitebuilder. She is just finishing up her training with C21, so I was hoping this would a good enough started site. I would deeply appreciate any feedback. Be honest (but kind too )

    www.robinsells4u.com

I can't figure out how to get a MLS search on her site, so i linked it to her office website. If anyone has input on that I would appreciate it also.

The site looks very good. I am surprised at the quality of the design (not the html code).

Briefly, there are two IDX approaches: framed and integrated. The framed solution is usually free to agents through the MLS. Generally, only the broker is authorized for to get an IDX feed for an integrated approach. I suggest that your wife talk to the broker and the MLS. You can add a frame or iframe to the site for the MLS. If you can get the IDX feed then you will need to program to display the MLS.

In Florida an agent can get the PlanetRealtor IDX frame if they are a member of FAR.

It is considered wise to stand on the shoulders of giants but foolish to put yourself in front of them.

    Default Title of Pages

Make sure you name the titles of each page with your top keywords, most of the search engines take the Title into account and give it the most credit.

I use the free IDX search. Goto PlanetRealtor.com and you can configure the search to the cities you want. I have about 20 cities to choose from in Florida. You can also limit the IDX search in price and other options.

IDX is free by the way.

    Default Nice looking, but...

The site is actually very nice and professional looking. But, you need to start thinking about optimizing the website for search engines. For instance:

    <title>Home</title>

That is your current title tag. This is what search engines give great importance to, it is what shows up on the blue title bar at the top of the page and it is what shows up when you bookmark the page. As you can see, what you put in between the title tags is very important. You could do something like:

    <title>Hernando County Real Estate - Robin Patascher</title>

You must do this type of thing for every page. Also, I do not see any keywords listed.

Just google SEO (search engine optimization) and you will find a lot of good info.

    Good luck!
