But what if the agent is the one asking about marketing ideas?

In today's, mostly buyers, market good agents look for new ways to market their properties. Placing a listing on the MLS is the obvious must but beyond that what do you as an agent do?

I think many agents miss on the obvious small things that can help. First impressions of your listings are probably more important than you might think. Make sure your flyers are up to date, your sign post freshly painted and standing tall and proud!
For me, when I see an old sign half leaning over with no flyers I get the impression that the home is not worth the Realtors time (making it not worth mine). This may not look like "Marketing" but it is.

Spend your money wisely and market well. There are far too many "Free" classified ad places to be paying large sums to place ads. Craigslist, GrapevineCommunities.com, Kijiji, backpage and the list goes on.

Of course I think you should use them ALL. Open up 4-5 browsers at a time, copy and paste till all are showing your properties!

My pitch for the GrapevineCommunities.com is simple. They are free and you can blog about your homes and yourself as an agent. Blogs are great marketing tools and are popular for that reason.

Add blogging into your marketing, add videos to the free websites (oh, wait- only the GrapevineCommunities.com allows you to add videos)
I believe in the power of the Grapevine and where it will someday be!

Head of Sales and Marketing of the Grapevine Communities. We have an awesome opportunity.

    Find a Grapevine near you!

By consulting with real estate agent alone you get the clear idea on real estate. You should ensure that the ideas given by the agent should be coincide with the others.

Visit real estate marketing companies. If you search around real estate marketing companies they may give you some ideas of what you can do. For Example, I work for a real estate marketing company, if you would go to our webpage you would see hundreds of marketing ideas and maybe you will get an even better idea from what we have on our site. Good Luck!
