    Default invest in Indian real estate

    I see that property rates in Florida are not going up but instead have come down by 20% in the last year. After declaration of Indian budget for 2009-20010, is it safe to invest in Indian real estate market for two yrs with expectation to get 60% return.

    Authorized dealers have been granted permission to grant loans to non-resident Indian nationals for acquisition of house/flat for self-occupation on their return to India subject to certain conditions. However, repayment of the loan should be made within a period not exceeding 15 years out of inward remittance.
    The developers are expected to bring in at least $100m. The pure private equity players are expected to be passive players. They are likely to take a smaller stake in specific projects along with an Indian real estate developer. These investors would prefer board berths.
    The combined investments by various groups into Indian real estate market could go up to $1.5bn. Funds are looking at returns of around 16-20%. The IT and Outsourcing boom in the country has raised the need for quality commercial, residential, hospitality and health care facilities as well
    It is expected that the developers will bring in 10% of their own money, and raise the remaining money overseas or in India. A group of NRIs has raised $150m under the Indian Real Estate Opportunities Fund and are scouting for projects in India.

    You are right even though all of the countries had faced the bad economic crisis India didn't get bombarded with the crisis. You can invest in India real estate without any fear.

    It is very hard to risk your business in a not familiar country.. But I heard that Real estate business in India are succeeding.. Advertising is the key.. Use social media..
