Craigslist
Just curious if the agents here are still seeing decent results on Craigslist vs. Realtor (dot) com. If so are you sending them to specific landing pages?

Realtor.com / Craigs List
We have used both but are concentrating on our own web site & blog. Craigs List has turned into an on-line spam trap with Realtors posting the same listings every few days. Realtor.com is a frustration to me because our listings which is the meat of the business are being used agiainst us. We provide the meat & realtor.com sells advertizing around the listing so the mortgage company or the moving company gets the lead & sells it back to us.
It's not something I want to participate in.
Maybe I'm just getting to one way in my old age

I hear you Rich, it's a bummer that NAR doesn't even own realtor.com! One useful way to use craigslist is to set up an html template for your listings (or use an online company), that way you can just cut and paste the html into craigslist and it's all nicely formatted with pictures. I still see a response from craigslist, and some seller clients will search it for their own listing, so it's hard to avoid craigslist.

I've seen a decline in craiglist traffic for anything real estate related. Some of my agents occaisionally post properties for rent, but don't see much use for posting properties for sale. I also used Craiglist in the past for job postings on real estate agents and apartment locators but since changes were recently made, it seems few if any use craiglist to locate positions in the real estate industry.

I still use it. It is very disorganized and scattered, but if I get one hit a month out of Craigslist, its worth my effort to post.

Craigslist is still effective but it doesn't mean realtor.com not good but still getting worth full visits from Craigslist.

I always try to post my listings on CL when I get a chance. Lately, the number of leads I would get have been low but hey, its free and doesn't take up much time to post.

craigslist?
I am really glad I came accross this thread. I was actually thinking about whether or not to post on craigslist. Never tried it before and I am new to the real estate market. But I see that there are mixed feelings about whether it's a good idea or not. What I gather is that most ppl agree that it does not provide the same results you would of gotten a while back.
I guess I'll just need to try it myself. At the very least I do agree that it might help seo-wise. So maybe that's worth a try.
