Have you Cut Back on your Marketing?
Have you cut back your marketing with the downturn in the economy? Do you market more? Have you focused on lower cost marketing strategies? I'm curious what everyone is doing.
We do marketing for real estate developers, so we've just shifted our focus somewhat...Realtors can't do that. Has anyone ever targeted a specific group as a Realtor? You could specialize in homes for teachers (with tenure), of doctors, or lawyers...I'm sure there are specifics you could cover and a spin you could put on it.

Web2.0 Property Marketing can help if you know how to use it!
Yes,.. this is a very apt thread considering the current challenges in the market. The thing is to establish an inexpensive and simple proven system that's time effective and which will grow exponentially.

I have changed my marketing not because of the market but just to use the most effective methods more. No sense spending money on things that do not work.

Never, marketing is essential in this business. You cannot sell if you do not have customers, and you wont have customers if you do not advertise, either web or something else.

Cutting back on marketing has been the farthest thing on our mind.
Don't be immobilized by fear. Don't cut back on marketing.
Despite challenging times ahead and the catch-22 scenario, brands must remain highly visible, relevant and connected with their customers.
Marketing is a brand's face to the world and vital to business survival, especially during a recession. Marketing drives sales, so cutting back will have the reverse effect.
Right now, marketers should be spending the same -- if not more -- to make sure they are on the radar of those consumers who are still spending.

Instead of cutting down marketing cost because of ongoing economic recession, one must try to devise new marketing plan based on the changed priorities of the targeted consumer segment.

If you are consistently and frequently tapping into your SOI your costs should really be the same. And if you have a quality SOI that your consistently tap into, you should be busy. Worst case, you spend a little more change tapping into new areas. I.E building your online presence.
