Video for SEO
I wanted to ask a question for the forum... stemming from my post on 3/3:
Does embedded video from YouTube, Vimeo or other help a site's SEO... or does the video have to be hosted directly on my site (in my control panel) for the search engines to give it added ranking?David Wittlinger, Author

The video will help for conversions, but not for optimization purposes.

Creating a video helps in driving traffic to your site. There are no clear SEO guidelines for video marketing yet but I believe in the future video marketing will be the next big thing in SEM.

SEO for video
Google can scan pictures now with OCR, but can not watch videos yet. The tags and description of the videos, google can read.
If you have a logo, you can try to get your keywords in there.
