    Cool Social Networking

Of course, social networking is huge these days but allows many more agents to advertise themselves through MySpace, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, etc, which should create even more competition. The thing is, most agents will not consistently do this and don't know how to optimize their websites to get free traffic from Google, Yahoo, etc. Google adwords can be extremely effective if your an expert. Because real estate in any area is so competitive regarding advertising in all forms, if you are not very good with Adwords, it can be a very expensive lesson (and I know, real estate is itself an ongoing expensive lesson for most).

Take advantage of the free traffic methods to ease some of the financial burdens. Take a little time each day to learn about search engine Optimization (SEO), social networking, etc. Or, spend some money to get set up properly and it will make a huge difference in your business and the time you spend doing it. Buyers are king these days, and most buyers start their home searches online. Be there for them with your optimized website when they search for property in your area. And above all, CALL THEM WHEN THEY REGISTER TO SEARCH FOR PROPERTY ON YOUR SITE. Most will not hunt you down any further than finding you on the internet.

I think social networking has become great in today's society by the web based services and they interact the users by providing them such as blogging, file sharing, voice chat and many more. And the benefit we get from it is to communicate and share the information with one another.

Which social networking site do you think bests helps real estate professionals?

I guess real estate blog sites like realestatewebmasters (please say you were referred by 'AugustaREGroup' if you decide to sign up) would be up there, but what about non-real estate social networking:

Facebook? Twitter? etc... Which would be your top three?

Nice reminder for starters. Today, there are a lot of people jumping into PPC even though they already know the concept of it. I must say PPC would be the last resort. You are right take advantage of other methods of obtaining traffic. If it delivers good results, then no need for PPC.

Yes, it takes constant focus and discipline to market anything. My philosophy for agents using social media is to be everywhere, myspace AND facebook - you never know where your next client is going to find you. Make sure you at least have a presence on all social networking sites.

But also remember to be true to your skills - if the internet doesn't make sense to you...then go door knocking. That still works too.
