The business has changed. Buyers not sellers are now the best customers.

In my view, short sales wouldn't be a bad idea at all. Remember, many short sales leave a deficiency balance for which the Mortgagor / Borrower is still liable.

Why so negative? There is always hope of profit. People will always buy and sell real estate. Someone is going to get there business. Someone is going to profit. Why not you? If your business plan is not working, maybe it is time to make a new one!

There is tons of money to be made in real estate at this time. The only question is how do you want to do it.

As an agent there is plenty happening, you just need to target whats hot now. For listings, obviously short sale listings are everywhere and few agents know how, or even want to handle them. For buyers, look for first time home buyers, those that don't have to sell in order to buy. There are plenty of them, and it is the perfect time to be a buyer.

As an investor, it is a good time to be buying and holding, though flipping is still possible, if you're careful. For buying and holding, obviously foreclosures, and short sales are part of the equation, that and making aggresive offers.

Great success stories always come from times like these.

I think every crisis has got a potential... the only problem is to find out what the potential is. I think it is a great time to buy properties now and probably there is some potential in renting.... I guess you all heard the term "reluctant renter". Good luck to you all... I am still working on my business model

    Default BULK REO! www.BulkREOTape.com

I see investors double their money in a very short time investing in Bulk REO properties.

I would be happy to explain how!

Renting to own is a great way to make money or at the very least minimizes your losses if you are a property owner where the value has gone down. Also eases up any further strain because you can delegate all of the daily maintenance of the home to the tenant-buyer. Also helps out all of those renters who would much rather be home owners but can't get a mortgage in this market.
