New Company...By Realtors, For Realtors
Hey Guys,
I am looking at starting a new company that partners with Realtors in local markets. We do the marketing, by building out a branded website, and hitting front page of Google for the major keywords in the market. The leads from the site are then sent to the agent, one agent, per market.
I am looking for constructive criticism from agents, so that we can make our product better. Currently we are looking at complete exclusivity with our local partners, real time lead gen management through sms technology, a complete database management system for our agents, and complete consulting through the entire sales process, which means we teach how to demonstrate property and close the transaction.
What else would you guys be looking for in a company like this?
Best,

LOL, that cracks me up. All you are trying to do is be slick about promoting your business model. In my eyes your approach here is little more than creative spam. I sure hope agents are not that stupid.

i must commend your dedication to exclusive connections. in an industry like this it will bring value to your services. agents who are learning about the internet and the positive impact it can have on their business would be benefited by such as service.

No need for negativity
I am not trying to promote my company here. I did not post a URL, the company name, or any other way to identify who we are. I am in the thinking stage of this process and am not even able to make any sales...our system has not been built out yet. BUT if you have any constructive criticism about the BUSINESS MODEL then I will be more than happy to hear it out.

I didn't think it was spam at all. I find it very rude that no one is understanding his questions or even trying to answer them.
Spam or not, that is just rude.

No Harm, No Foul...
People in the industry are tired of being taken advantage of by many marketing companies, so I understand his/her quick apprehension to the question. But at the end of the day I am trying to make the business model stronger, and learn from those of you who want to speak up and have a say in how real estate works in the future....ideas breed innovation. I'm just trying to get more ideas

How will you get top SEO placement on Google
Personally, I'm biased to companies like Yodel that will optimize your google adword spend by figuring out click to call conversions. And no, I don't work for Yodel but I've used them. This seems similar, but maybe I don't understand the model.

Yodel Model
I am not exactly sure what their focus is as a company. Our focus is SEO for our local partners, which they pay for a fraction of, and then we actually turn profit via referral fee since we are a licensed real estate broker.
What does Yodel do?Follow up, follow up, follow up, follow up untill they BUY or DIE!!

I would not consider spending money for a company to build a website for me UNLESS I own and control the website and the money I spent also covered SEO SERP work. And if an agent has a website, all the leads go to them so I do not understand how your service is any different. Plus unless you are licensed and experienced in the state that the agent is in, you may break a law or rule of the association the agent belongs to.
Since most active contributors here are internet savvy, not many of us would consider your product/idea, even if it is good for someone else. It may be. But it does not sound like it is for me.Mark Brian Silver Star Real Estate

Great post...
Mark,
Thanks for the response. Great ideas and concerns as well. I am not sure I follow you about your concern with licensing among states. To my knowledge, referral fees are completely legal and above board as long as both parties are licensed real estate brokerage firms, even among different states. Can you clarify?
Thanks,
