New free real estate classified site
For those realtors who have rentals, there is a new web site that lets you post them for free. It is geared towards students looking for rentals but anyone can look up rentals in any city. It shows all rentals on a map which is pretty cool. It just launched so there aren't many postings yet, but at least it is free and looks really cool. www . myshack .com

Hi realestateman,
I registered and looked around, but couldn't find any active listings. Can you tell me what metro area has some activity so I can check out the interface and site?
Thanks

Thanks for registering. we only soft laucnhed the site on Friday and have not promoted it heavily so far, as this allows us to iron out any bugs and issues with the system, based on user feedback. We are planning on a major launch with PR, university promotions (some major universities are on board the project) and big real estate agencies as well.
Ofcourse, we rely on the realtor community to list their inventory, as well as, individual homes owners for the site to get populated with rentals. As opposed to some other sites, we do not syndicate rentals from other sources, so rentlas on the site come purely from the individuals who have posted them.
Back to yoru question... if you do a search for Hodges University (Fort Myers, FL campus) with a 15 or 20 mile radius or use zip code 33905, you will see a posting.
Our rate of resgistration is very satisfying at this time considering the fact that it is mostly based on word of mouth at this point and a few forums such as this one.
Please feel free to contact me at any time with any comments or suggestions.
Thanks once again!Last edited by realestateman; 11-26-2008 at 11:21 AM. Reason: additional information

Seems like it is a new site. I am heading in the direction of estate rentals. Does the site help with that?
